My friend Tim Laniak, who knows the sound and smell of battle, sends me Messianic music to accompany me in mine. Zipporah Bennett’s Kuma Adonai (‘Arise, O Lord’) helps Hebrew language students at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary’s Charlotte, North Carolina, campus refine their aural comprehension.
Here in Indianapolis, on a clear Autumn day, it opens an angle of sight by which a man can just about glimpse heaven.
Simple voices, even simpler orchestration, lyrics taken directly from the Psalter; these are the ingredients with which the Yad Hashmona Singers take the doxological baton from previous psalm singers and give it a formidable here-and-now lap in the right direction.
Kuma Adonai. Indeed.
Just recently read your encouraging comments regarding my Kuma collection.
Thank you and the Lord for the kind words.
May I quote you?

Shalom Zipporah, I am in Jerusalem and want to get another cd of who hath believed but cannot find it, I think it is very special and should be widely distributed, I think one called davrey Mashiach would be a good follow up with the choice words of Messiah sung in hebrew pls let me know if there is a place I can get your cd in Jerusalem
There should still be some copies at the Immanuel Bookstore inside Jaffa Gate. Ask for them.
If not, and you are returning to the States, can send them to you.
P.S. They can be mailed anywhere, not just US, from rose@shekinahbooks.net
Dear Zipporah,
What a delight to find your post!
Yes, you may certainly quote me. I’m listening to Marty Goetz’ superb HOPE OF GLORY as we speak.
All best,
David
Unfortunately, my CD’s have become hard to find. I will be trying to remedy the situation. You may contact rose@shekinahbooks.net for them.
Zipporah—I’m teaching Biblical Hebrew to adults at my little church and am using your songs on a constant basis. They get sung because my students want to learn bits of Scripture; their very first one was “Hodu L’Adonai, ki tov” and we’ve gone from there. What a joy to play them in class. I’ve seen tears on some of their faces as they listen. Be encouraged indeed!!! (I stumbled across this exchange while looking for mp3 version of “Who Hath Believed?”—small world, isn’t it??? I couldn’t resist saying hello.)
I would like to purchase some of your albums ,but have a hard time finding them…suggestions?
You may contact rose@shekinahbooks.net for them, she can fulfill your order and you may pay with credit card via paypal.
It’s also available from my website Israel Unique:

Shalom Zipporah,
I live in new Zealand and I just needed to say your music fist came to me some years ago when I was very ill. it was the first Messianic music I had ever heard in my life and I just knew the music was Heaven sent. I clung to it daily and still play it on Shabbat a lot.It lifted me up when I was so down & has continued over the years. Thank you so much and all praise to our Abba who inspired you may he always Bless you.
As the years passed by in my suffering the Ruach ha Kodesh gave me a collection of songs which I managed to produce in the most difficult of circumstances, at 60 yrs of age. Ketz Ha Yamim. They are His message for the Amo in these difficult times. I would like to send you a copy if you can reply to me.

Zippy, Shalom and greetings to you. It has been many years… I pray you and Ramon are doing well. My son is now 19, and at the university in Austin. Time flies since our first gatherings at the tent on Kauai in Hawaii during the late 1980’s. Love to know where you are, and what’s new. Time with the Lord over the years have been a blessing. http://KarolKyno.com 🙂
