My job makes sure that I spend lots and lots of time in my car. I need three things in order to make that a good thing: great music, good directions, and reliable hands-off phone service.
My 2004 Passat W8 has excellent sound but lacks built-in satellite radio. I’ve installed a Sirius receiver, a Magellan GPS, and a Parrot Bluetooth phone service. That adds up to some serious clutter and a spiderweb of cables.
I talked with Jason and Jerry, my boys at Indy’s Auto Outfitters, and they sold me on a Pro-Fit bracket that fits into a seam of the VW’s dash and holds both the Parrot and the Sirius receiver on one bracket that swivels to the perfect location. These guys are good and this product turns chaos into order.
Now I’ve got music (Sirius), directions (Magellan GPS), and talk (cell phone via the Parrot bluetooth) and can usefully and enjoyable spend a travel days and end up with the satisfaction of time well invested.
