The Christian music scene is full of solid people and fine artists who live in the shadow of, say, the Sandy Pattis and Chris Tomlins of the genre. Kim Tabor and husband Brian are examples.
Kim’s voice is supple and strong. Her performance is heartfelt. Yet she remains a relative unknown at the national level. Go figure.
You won’t hear the Tabors complaining about the arbitrariness of it all. Rather they’ll sing their hearts out for you at every public appearance and in every CD. There are some strong winners on this collection of highly produced tunes. Worthy of mention is Kim’s rendition of Nicole Nordeman’s ‘Every Season’, a finely wrought celebration of God’s four-season accompaniment. The final track, Before the Sun Goes Down, is superbly moving and well considered.
This CD is worth more than the purchase price. Still better, find a public appearance of Kim and Brian Tabor and bask in their unique gifting as it is employed to burnish the glory of its Giver.
