I have a colleague who travels even more than I do and proclaims his travel doctrine at every opportunity: ‘Don’t carry it if you can drag it.’
I finally caved to his advice and bought the Kensington Contour Roller based on Kensington’s good name and the attractive price.
I have no regrets. The workmanship is solid, there are an endless succession of handy and unexpected storage spaces, and the benefits of putting the burden on wheels instead of shoulders are well worth the investment by themselves.
The telescoping handle is very handy. It seems just a little flimsy, but time will tell. It’s probably just the nature of the beast and will hold up well.
I carry a second briefcase that stacks nicely atop the Kensington bag, so I drag two bags for essentially the effort of dragging one.
Several days into my maiden voyage with this roller bag, I’m completely satisfied.
You can buy a more expensive bag, but I doubt you can get better value.
