My organization receives this publication of the NonProfit Times free. If yours does too, don’t make the mistake of tossing it out with the junk mail.
Subtitled ‘Financial Information for Senior Managers’, this 27-page sleeper contains articles by knowledgeable practitioners with titles like ‘Spinning Case Off From For-Profit Enterprise’, ‘Moving Major Donors to Planned Giving Benefactors’, ‘Having an Affinity Generates Real Cash Flow’, ‘Beware of the “For-Profit” Director’, ‘Federal Grants Targeted for New Database’, and a heavy dose of advertisement and directories.
I find myself scanning the best articles and shooting them off as pdf files to colleagues inside and out of the organization I direct. Exempt seems not to be widely known alongside the sector’s thoroughbred periodicals. That’s a pity. The good news is that it’s cheap or free and it’s good.
