I see Sharper Image products frequently in airline catalogues, filled with breathless and absurd reassurances about how long you’ve waited for a product like this to change your life. I chuckle.
But Sharper Image is no boiler-room sweatshop turning out forgettable products that will leave you wondering what you were thinking about when you placed that order.
They actually have a fine line of good stuff, and in my experience seem strongest in the area of office products. The Wall Street Journal was not mistaken when this lamp was included among their best-value gadgets in a recent issue.
The version of this lamp that I own has the cherry-wood stem, which adds a handsome touch.
Here’s what I like:
The lamp is almost infinitely adjustable.
The lamp has that heavy base that keeps it from teetering around like a drunk sailor and spilling your coffee on your keyboard in the mix.
The lamp is one solid apparatus, not always the case with accessories that are multiple-point adjustable.
The light is very, very easy on the eyes.
Since buying this product, I’ve bought two other ‘stronger-than-daylight’ desk lamps. I regret having wandered. This one stands above all others.
